ALDERSHOT ASSISTED LIVING APARTMENTS
Syndicate Group Southern were appointed by Midas Construction Ltd to provide full commercial support in the form of Quantity Surveying.
Commencing on site in October 2017 the facility is part of a roll out by Hampshire County Council to provide adult care for patients transitioning from a full time medical care back into an assisted living environment.
This facility was designed to provide 10 apartments with a self-sufficient configuration, providing a fully furnished communal lounge area and fully landscaped gardens.
Sited on the former Aldershot day care centre, the new modern building was constructed from sustainability sourced softwood lumber, carefully milled in a factory in Austria to create a structurally self-supporting CLT (Close Laminated Timber) frame engineered to have all its openings set ready to receive external cladding using brick and mock slate punctured by aluminium doors and windows.
The project also featured a plant room designed to be portable and formed using a specially adapted shipping container.
Completed in March 2019 it now forms part of a unique collection of similar buildings scattered throughout Hampshire, Syndicate Group Southern Ltd are proud to be part of the team to deliver such a modern and important care facility.
